What I'm looking for

I'm looking to link marine research, equitable ocean governance, and science communication through roles advancing science-based policy, community-led conservation, ocean education, and inclusive capacity-building.

Currently co-developing community-led shark conservation and ocean-equity research in El Salvador and advancing blue shark photo identification using biometric models, building on my work monitoring migratory sharks in the Azores. My master's research developed a standardized image-based identification methodology for long-term blue shark monitoring in the Mid-Atlantic.

Across Asia, Latin America, and Europe, I've combined field ecology, data analysis, capacity-building, and multilingual communication. Through Early Career Ocean Professionals Central America, I lead proposals, bilingual outreach, regional events, and mentorship that connect early-career talent and Global South voices to international ocean governance.
