In the Gutsy project, I study the role of gut microbiota in anticoagulant rodenticide resistance. I’m currently a Research Fellow on this pilot study.
At CESAM – Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies, University of Aveiro, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on environmental and ecological research. I also worked as an Initial Stage Researcher at CESAM – Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies, University of Lisbon.
My research projects have included TROJAN RATS, which investigated seaports as gateways for rodent-borne pathogens, and a study of energy metabolism in fossorial pine voles. I’ve also contributed to work on the conservation of the Iberian shrew and Squirrel Hologenomics.
I’ve published 16 research papers and authored 6 book chapters. My work includes mammal population surveys, ecological assessment, data and statistical analysis, and Geographic Information Systems.
