Andrea Carolina Menco Tovar

I teach programming fundamentals in Python at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar while pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering.

At the university's GRITAS research group, I supported Data Science and Artificial Intelligence courses as a data analysis and AI monitor. My work connects mathematical teaching, applied statistics, and computational research.

I've taught mathematics in educational institutions in Córdoba, Cartagena, and Isla Barú, and previously conducted statistical analysis and article writing as a Young Researcher at Apiarios de la Sabana SAS.

My research includes agricultural image systems, vision transformers for multispecies identification, automatic food-hazard detection, and convolutional neural networks for cucumber disease detection. I work with Python, R, Git, Jupyter, and LaTeX.
