Anas Elkuwafi

I’m an experienced banking and payments operations professional with more than five years in international card operations, payment processing, and fintech systems. I currently serve as Assistant Head of International Cards Department at Wahda Bank.

I specialize in Visa card operations and end-to-end payment processing—from transaction monitoring and decline analysis to reporting and operational escalations. I help resolve operational incidents by analyzing declines, exceptions, and root causes.

In my role, I manage card issuance, renewals, account loading, and card lifecycle management, while coordinating cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Customer Service. I work directly with payment partners including Visa and payment processors to implement enhancements.

I focus on data-driven improvement: preparing operational reports and dashboards for senior leadership, gathering business requirements with IT teams, and supporting testing and deployment of new payment features. I also maintain documentation and ensure timely resolution of customer and operational issues.
