As engineering manager, I lead a team of engineers and data scientists with an emphasis on strategically improving project delivery efficiency through internal tools, data products, or standard processes. I also help propose and scope solutions for business development. As an individual contributor, I've led tech teams to deliver open-source models and tools for social good with UNICEF EAPRO.

Worked on backend API microservices of NLP-powered applications for a Singaporean investment holding company. Applications included automated information extraction from documents and internal search engines, employing a variety of NLP techniques from Deep Learning (semantic search with embeddings, Question Answering) to classical techniques. Handled model training, ML engg, and backend API dev.

As part of the NLP team, I worked on a data product providing organized information extracted from BPO call transcripts. The raw data was processed using NLP techniques (segmentation, classification, clustering) and the data product was made available for downstream Machine Learning teams through a microservice.

Worked on backend REST APIs for 7-11 Philippines’ CLiQQ app services: digital wallet and WiFi access through loyalty points. Also handled API security, documentation, gateway setup, and analytics dashboards.

Developed a real-time collaborative-drawing web application with a team. The project was a prototype of an internal meeting and diagramming tool, and was an avenue for the company to explore Vert.x for socket programming.
