Alex Toma
@alextoma
Computer Science graduate who built a real-time network threat detection prototype at Bright Access.
What I'm looking for
At Bright Access, I built a real-time machine-learning prototype to detect malicious network traffic. I integrated Suricata IDS, a custom pcap-to-JSON plugin, and a Redis-based queue, then compared machine-learning approaches and displayed results in a Streamlit dashboard.
In a project mapping security text to CWEs, I developed an NLP pipeline using SecureBERT embeddings and evaluated preprocessing techniques. I also built a Digital Product Passport application that tracks product sustainability and lifecycle data, with Firestore synchronization and AWS authentication.
