What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead delivery of secure, production-grade mobile apps—architecture to store rollout—while building strong CI/CD, API integration, and monitoring. I thrive in distributed teams and want to keep improving reliability through crash and release data.

I’m a Lead Mobile Engineer with 9+ years shipping production mobile apps, currently delivering multi-currency fintech products for Android and iOS. I own the native app experience from architecture through store submission, phased rollout, and post-launch monitoring.

In my current role, I lead a team of 7 mobile developers across Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia, and review every pull request before Android and iOS versions ship to the stores. I run the release train end to end—schedule, phased Play Console rollouts, Firebase Remote Config toggles, and tested recovery paths—while hardening mobile security with encryption, biometric authentication, certificate pinning, and DexProtector.

I also focus on integration quality and reliability: I help design backend REST endpoints for compact payloads and offline sync contracts, set up CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds and testing with GitHub Actions, Bitrise, and Fastlane, and monitor stability with Firebase Crashlytics. I’ve worked fully remotely since 2019, and I use Kotlin Multiplatform to share code across platforms while keeping both consistent.
