I’m building fracture mechanics models at Los Alamos National Laboratory, validating transient cohesive zone fracture behavior against physical dynamic fracture experiments using Fierro simulations.
At LANL and TAMU Transportation Institute, I’ve implemented a 3D large-deformation viscoelastic cohesive zone fracture model into Fierro’s explicit Lagrangian hydrodynamics solver (SGH3D), structured to run across HPC hardware.
I write the model as hardware-agnostic, performance-portable C++ using Kokkos/MATAR, then verify numerical stability and behavior against analytical solutions with controlled test cases.
Before that, I supported SONAR systems for US submarines at General Dynamics Electric Boat and handled hydrographic data collection with acoustic transducers during an eTrac internship, plus semiconductor manufacturing work at Texas Instruments.
