What I'm looking for

I'm looking to apply physics-based modeling, fracture simulation, atomistic simulation, and multiscale materials research to challenging problems in advanced metals and ceramics.

At Colorado State University, I build microstructural crack-propagation models for polycrystalline metals and ceramics, combining Voronoi-based path-finding, statistical fracture models, and Markov-chain simulations.

I've run large-scale atomistic and density functional theory simulations in LAMMPS and VASP to quantify cleavage energies, grain-boundary resistance, surface-energy distributions, and impurity effects in tungsten, tantalum, tantalum carbide, and related ceramics. I integrate computational predictions with EBSD microstructural data to evaluate intergranular and transgranular fracture resistance.

My earlier mechanical engineering research used MATLAB, finite-difference methods, and COMSOL to study electromigration and thermal migration in aluminum thin-film grain boundaries. I bring experience in fracture simulation, numerical modeling, HPC computing, and experimental-model validation.
