Alayna Johnston
@alaynajohnston
I build user-facing web products end to end, from Angular interfaces to Java services and data platforms.
United StatesWhat I'm looking for
At Surescripts, I deliver full-stack capabilities for a national healthcare data platform processing 100M+ records daily. I shipped most of a new configuration management epic and the largest share of a patient privacy initiative across Angular, Java REST services, and Oracle.
I take ambiguous work from design spikes through production, including leading root-cause analysis for a patient-record-search outage and auditing 40+ service configurations. I also built release-branch automation, coordinated 23 releases, reviewed 546 pull requests, and wrote 33 engineering guides that teams use as standing references.
Independently, I’m building The Itinerists, a collaborative travel-planning PWA used on real trips. I re-architected it into a multi-user platform with Firebase authentication, real-time Firestore data, expense splitting, Leaflet maps, and installable offline-friendly PWA capabilities.
