Aaron Massey
@akmassey
Privacy, security, and compliance technologist bridging policy and engineering.
What I'm looking for
I am a privacy, security, and regulatory compliance technologist with over 15 years' experience across academia, non‑profits, and government, helping adtech, data protection, and AI companies meet evolving legal requirements without sacrificing quality or efficiency.
I have led policy research, written technical policy papers, and presented widely at major conferences while producing actionable guidance—creating monthly adtech newsletters, facilitating working groups, and publishing extensively on requirements engineering, privacy, and security.
I combine hands-on engineering experience (embedded Linux and device drivers) with rigorous academic research (PhD, numerous publications, and doctoral committee service) to translate legal and regulatory obligations into practical software and organizational practices.
