Akash Birajdar

I’m a Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data architectures. I focus on reliable ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data warehousing that directly supports analytics and business decisions.

I’m proficient in SQL and Python, and I’ve built large-scale structured and unstructured data processing using Apache Spark (PySpark), Hive, and Databricks. I also bring strong workflow orchestration experience with Apache Airflow and dbt, along with a solid foundation in data quality and data governance.

In my recent work, I developed a centralized data platform on Azure to process and manage capital market and financial data. I designed scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and PySpark, optimized SQL queries and Spark jobs for performance, and ensured validation and consistency across pipelines.

I’ve also built an end-to-end Retail Inventory Intelligence Platform that manages inventory data across warehouses and retail locations. By integrating ERP systems and APIs, performing data validation/cleansing, and improving pipeline efficiency to reduce latency, I helped teams get accurate, actionable reporting.
