Aileen De Santiago

I’m an elementary/middle school teacher dedicated to making education fun, engaging, and student-centered. I bring hands-on classroom experience supporting learners in both planned instruction and short-term classroom coverage.

In my substitute teaching role, I educate and monitor students in and outside the classroom, prepare detailed day reports, and adjust lessons as students return. I follow rules and classroom procedures to maintain a sense of normalcy and complete assigned work to better support student questions.

I’ve taught Math, Science, ELA, ELD, P.E., and History while delivering lessons aligned to student needs. I use informal and formal assessments to monitor understanding and adjust where necessary, with a strong focus on inquiry-based thinking and correcting misconceptions.

I also completed student teaching where I observed mentor routines, created district and weekly lesson plans, and tailored instruction based on performance and understanding. I hold a Multiple Subject Credential from California and am Google Level 1 Certified.
