What I'm looking for

I'm looking for an NLP or data science role focused on real-world or commercial problems, especially involving multilingual models, social media, or model evaluation. I enjoy working in collaborative teams, learning and growing through applied work. I'm excited about roles that bridge research and application, using NLP and LLMs to turn complex data into useful insights.

I'm a data scientist and NLP researcher with over 4 years of experience delivering end-to-end social media analytics and insight tools. At CASM Technology, I led projects that analysed multilingual social and web data using semantic mapping, topic modelling, and LLMs — helping clients like Ofcom, the Gates Foundation, and BBC Monitoring uncover online trends, sentiment, and community dynamics.

My PhD focuses on building a multilingual evaluation tool that combines quantitative and qualitative methods to diagnose performance gaps between Arabic and English transformer models, with an emphasis on interpretability and model debugging.

I’m passionate about making language technologies more transparent, fair, and globally inclusive. I enjoy working across research and applied settings to break down complex systems, uncover weaknesses, and build solutions that make NLP models more trustworthy and effective in real-world use.
