I’m an innovative Smart Data Expert with over 5 years of experience in ontology development, knowledge graph implementation, and data semantics. My focus is turning complex biotech drug manufacturing data into trustworthy, machine-usable knowledge—so teams can move faster with clear meaning and context.

At Merck KGaA, I lead the development of next-generation data management processes integrated into biotech drug manufacturing. I’ve built a smart data and modeling environment within the Digital Innovation team—defining and implementing smart data tools, developing global bioprocess models, and delivering comprehensive documentation that preserves context for downstream applications.

I also champion Semantic Web technologies and open standards (W3C open standards such as RDF and OWL), including the development of a comprehensive bioprocessing ontology to enhance description quality. Beyond internal delivery, I collaborate with international consortia like Biophorum and NIIMBL—driving ontology extension across end-to-end processes, implementing a knowledge graph architecture with benchmarks, and building a semantic layer for knowledge graph management (including integration with systems such as Virtuoso, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB). I’m motivated by adoption challenges, and I bring that energy through speaking engagements (e.g., IOF summit) and contributions to open-source bioprocessing ontology efforts.
