Abigail Underwood

My name is Abigail Underwood, and I am currently pursuing my degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, projected to graduate in May 2026. I have a strong passion for counseling, advocacy, and teaching, which has been shaped by my leadership roles in high school and my volunteer experiences. As a co-captain of the Cougarette Dance Team and the Marching Band Visual Ensemble, I learned the importance of communication, organization, and being a supportive role model for my peers.

In addition to my leadership experience, I have developed valuable skills through my work as a barista at Blue's Brews and Red Cat Coffeehouse. These roles have not only honed my customer service abilities but have also reinforced my commitment to creating a positive environment for those around me. My journey in martial arts, where I achieved a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, has taught me resilience, motivation, and the significance of being a good listener. I am eager to bring these skills into a professional setting focused on helping others.
