Abigail Coster
@abigailcoster
Wellness coach and nutrition educator who empowers chronic-health clients with research-informed, motivational support and education.
What I'm looking for
I’m a wellness coach and nutrition educator with an MS in Food and Nutritional Sciences, focused on human nutrition. My work centers on translating nutrition science into practical, supportive education that helps people build sustainable healthy habits.
Since 2018, I’ve empowered individuals with chronic health conditions through nutrition, health, and wellness education as a Wellness Coach for Cape Atlantic I.N.K. I develop company health initiatives, deliver organization-wide nutrition education across multiple sites, create marketing tools for system partners and community members, and support committees including the Wellness Committee, Multicultural Committee, and Nurtured Heart Committee.
I bring a research-driven approach from prior roles as a Research Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Stout. I performed quantitative and qualitative research on factors influencing food choices and eating behavior, moderated focus groups, managed and analyzed data, and authored critical reports and manuscript work, including preparation for publication.
I also strengthen my teaching and community impact through coordination and instruction roles. As a Nutrition Coordinator & Educator, I supervised and mentored student-educators, developed and taught evidenced-based nutrition curricula across multiple schools, and expanded outreach. Earlier, I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant supporting nutrition education, academic writing, and online course portals, and I’ve also coordinated clinical intake and crisis-intervention training for mental health services.
