I’m a platform engineer with 4 years building and operating distributed backend systems at scale. As a Senior IC on a 14-person platform team serving 300 engineers, I own systems end-to-end—from design through production and on-call.

At Urban Company, I’ve led critical platform work, including being the sole engineer on the company-wide consent management platform for India DPDP Act compliance, translating legal and audit requirements directly into the system design. I also built a unified RPC framework for 200+ microservices on Fastify to replace fragmented Express patterns, standardizing contracts, observability, and security while improving latency and compute efficiency.

I go deep into messaging and distributed-systems internals. I built the org-wide Kafka client library (retry/DLQ, at-least-once semantics, ordering) adopted across key domains, and I created the Redis/Redlock + etcd-fencing distributed lock manager—shared building blocks other teams rely on. I also performed near-zero-downtime database migrations, including moving MongoDB off Atlas to self-hosted and upgrading MySQL v5 to v8 validated against production traffic.

On the operations side, I migrated production Kafka to operator-managed Strimzi on EKS for declarative, IaC-driven management, and I built a Prometheus-driven canary/blue-green framework with automated rollback and dev-environment isolation for shared infrastructure. I’ve also operated an LLM-driven AWS cost-attribution agent for proactive FinOps, plus I’m driven by storage, messaging, and distributed-systems internals and enjoy shipping solutions end-to-end.
