Abdullah Sukhera

I'm a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 8 years of experience designing and shipping production software, from greenfield API platforms to large-scale systems handling millions of requests. My focus is on backend architecture, API development, and building things that hold up at scale.

Over the years I've worked across multiple technology stacks, including Node.js, Python, and AI/ML, which has given me a pragmatic, patterns-first approach to engineering. I believe the best engineers understand why a system is built a certain way, not just which framework was used to build it. That perspective shapes how I design microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures on AWS.

Increasingly, my work sits at the intersection of backend engineering and AI. I've spent the past two years integrating large language models into real products, building RAG pipelines, designing AI agents, working with Open AI and Lang Chain, and using vector databases to power semantic search and retrieval. This is where some of the most interesting backend engineering problems live right now, and it's where I'm most focused.

On the process side, I'm comfortable leading technical decisions, running code reviews, mentoring engineers, and working directly with product teams to translate requirements into architecture. I've shipped features end-to-end, from database schema to React frontend, and I know when to go deep and when to move fast.
