Abdullah Sajid

I’m a First Class Honours Computer Science graduate from Kingston University, and I’m currently freelancing while job hunting. My focus is building production software that solves real user problems, not sandbox demos.

In my main freelance work, I’ve migrated a live taxi-booking platform’s backend from .NET to Next.js and moved the frontend from Angular to React. The code is used by paying customers, so reliability and clarity matter to me.

For my final year project, I built an AI-powered university and course selector. I designed the PostgreSQL schema, integrated GPT-4o-mini with prompt engineering to constrain output to structured JSON, and validated it through an 18-response questionnaire, user interviews, guerrilla usability testing, and a full Nielsen heuristic evaluation.

I’m comfortable across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, SQL, React, and Flask, and I use Claude and OpenAI Codex daily as part of how I build. I’m also deepening my AI engineering skills (RAG, LLM fundamentals, agentic systems) alongside AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway), and I’m looking for a graduate software engineering role where I can keep building things people actually use.
