Remote data analyst role with international teams, ideally in finance, fintech, or operations — where analysis drives real decisions. I value autonomy, async communication, and ownership. My banking background makes me strongest in reconciliation, reporting automation, and financial analytics. Open to full-time or long-term contract. Growing toward senior analyst or analytics engineering.

Junior Data Analyst skilled in Python, SQL & automation; experienced in financial reconciliation & forecasting. B.Eng.
What I'm looking for
I'm a data analyst based in Nigeria with a background in banking operations and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). My transition into data analytics grew naturally out of my work at Zenith Bank, where I noticed how much time was being lost to manual, error-prone reconciliation processes — and decided to fix it.
Over the past year, I've built and deployed a fully automated ATM GL reconciliation system using Python and Google Apps Script, covering five live bank accounts (ISW, Mastercard Domestic, Appzone, VISA/V-Pay, and AFRIGO). What used to take hours of manual cross-referencing now runs in minutes with structured exception logs and a clean audit trail. That project taught me more about real-world data engineering — dirty data, edge cases, silent bugs — than any course could.
Beyond my day job, I've completed the Quantium Data Analytics Virtual Internship on Forage, where I worked through retail transaction analysis, control store matching using Pearson correlation and t-tests, and delivered a full client report and presentation following the Pyramid Principle. I've also built a natural gas price forecasting model using Python and Meta's Prophet library, and I regularly work with pandas, SQL, Excel, and Power Query on analytical problems across finance and operations.
My engineering background shapes how I approach data work — I care about getting the logic right, not just the output. I'm drawn to roles where the data has real operational stakes: finance, banking, reconciliation, reporting, or any domain where bad analysis costs something.
I'm currently seeking remote analyst roles with international teams. I'm a clear communicator, comfortable working asynchronously, and I take ownership of my work end to end — from understanding the business question to delivering something people can actually use.
