What I'm looking for

I’m seeking opportunities in research and consultancy to apply my geological, geospatial, and analytical skills in mining geology, natural hazard management and mitigation, environmental and engineering geology, while developing practical expertise and supporting sustainable geoscientific solutions.

At Soiltech (India) Private Limited, I assist with interpreting and documenting subsurface soil and rock conditions, and coordinate geological observations with engineering requirements for site characterization. I also prepare detailed borehole logs using WestGeo software.

For my Masters Dissertation at CSIR - NGRI (National Geophysical Research Institute), I investigated tectonic and geomorphological features in the Darjeeling Sikkim Frontal Belt to understand active deformation and seismic hazards. I analyzed satellite imagery, DEMs, and geomorphic indices using ArcGIS and MATLAB, and integrated Ground Penetrating Radar survey data with surface observations.

At Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, I conducted petrographic analysis of thin sections from the Karakoram Shear Zone and quantified finite strain using the centre to centre method and AutoCAD based grain analysis. At Vasundharaa Geo Technologies, I used ArcGIS and QGIS to prepare thematic and spatial maps for agricultural, urban planning, landslide, and flood management projects.

My M.Sc. in Applied Geology and B.Sc. in Geology have included field studies across geological and hydrogeological settings. I’m seeking opportunities in research and consultancy where I can apply geological, geospatial, and analytical skills to mining geology, natural hazard management and mitigation, environmental geology, or engineering geology, while developing practical expertise and supporting sustainable geoscientific solutions.
