Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Youth Programs to lead our initiatives aimed at empowering young individuals. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of innovative programs that foster personal growth, educational success, and community engagement among youth. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance the impact of our youth services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive youth programs that align with our mission and address the diverse needs of young individuals.
- Lead a team of program managers and coordinators, providing mentorship and support to ensure successful program execution.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to expand program reach and resources.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
- Advocate for youth issues at local, state, and national levels, representing the organization in various forums.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in program management, youth development, or related fields.
- Proven track record of leading successful youth programs and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse youth populations and communities.
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in program management software and data analysis tools.
- Experience with social media and digital communication platforms for outreach and engagement.
- Knowledge of community resources and services available for youth.
