Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Youth Programs to lead our initiatives aimed at empowering and engaging young people. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of programs that foster the growth, education, and leadership skills of youth within our community. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive youth program strategies that align with organizational goals and community needs
- Lead a team of program coordinators and volunteers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment
- Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback, making necessary adjustments to enhance impact
- Establish partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to expand program reach and resources
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability
- Advocate for youth issues and represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on youth development or community outreach
- Proven track record of developing and leading successful programs or initiatives
- Strong understanding of youth engagement strategies and best practices in program delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to drive program improvements
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience working with underserved youth populations
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools, such as Excel or SPSS
- Experience using project management software to streamline program operations
- Knowledge of digital communication tools and platforms for effective outreach
