Role Overview
We are seeking a Water Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our state-of-the-art water treatment facility. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure compliance with environmental regulations, optimize plant performance, and lead a team of dedicated professionals in delivering safe and reliable water services to our community.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to optimize plant performance and efficiency
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, operators, and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Monitor plant performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet production goals
- Collaborate with local and state agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and reporting
- Manage budgets and resource allocation to ensure effective and sustainable operation of the facility
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of plant processes and equipment
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on plant operations, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in water treatment operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Certification as a Water Treatment Operator or Engineer
- Experience with budget management and cost control in an industrial setting
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in water treatment technology and systems, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical treatment
- Experience with SCADA systems and other plant management software
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making

Location
