Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor of Liquid Waste Treatment Operations to lead our team in ensuring the effective and efficient treatment of liquid waste. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all operational aspects of our treatment facilities, driving operational excellence, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of best practices in waste management. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing processes and leading a team dedicated to environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of liquid waste treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to enhance treatment efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor treatment processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of treatment systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal waste management laws.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in liquid waste treatment or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of liquid waste treatment processes and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with advanced waste treatment technologies and innovations.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in monitoring and control systems used in liquid waste treatment.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software for performance metrics tracking.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance reporting software.
