Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee our supply chain operations and ensure seamless logistics processes across our organization. In this pivotal role, you will architect efficient logistics strategies, optimize inventory levels, and enhance distribution networks while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement logistics strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining service quality
- Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimal excess
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other key stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations
- Analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Lead cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Conduct regular audits of logistics processes and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Mentor and develop logistics team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with proven success in optimizing logistics operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with logistics management software and tools, including TMS and WMS systems
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading projects
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data analysis tools and logistics software for process optimization
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and safety standards in logistics operations
