Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Trademark Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international trademark offices.
- Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and analyze search results to identify potential conflicts.
- Maintain and update trademark databases and case management systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Support senior attorneys in the drafting of legal correspondence and documents related to trademark registrations and renewals.
- Help monitor deadlines for renewals and other compliance requirements, ensuring timely filings.
- Conduct legal research on trademark law and provide summaries to the legal team.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in intellectual property or trademark law.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
- Familiarity with trademark databases and filing systems.
- Knowledge of relevant trademark laws and regulations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Experience with trademark management software.
- Basic understanding of intellectual property concepts.
