Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tower Crew Supervisor to join our team. This role is vital in overseeing the operations, safety, and efficiency of our tower crews. You will lead a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of communication towers, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily tower crew operations, ensuring the timely and efficient execution of projects.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safety-first culture within the team.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, enhancing their technical skills and safety awareness.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
- Monitor equipment and tools, ensuring they are maintained and used correctly to minimize downtime.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on crew performance, project progress, and safety incidents.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in tower construction or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of tower rigging, installation techniques, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing team members.
Preferred:
- Experience with telecommunications systems, including microwave and fiber optics.
- Certifications in tower safety, fall protection, and first aid.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of tower climbing equipment and safety gear.
- Experience with telecommunications testing equipment and methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ANSI).
