Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Line Installation Supervisor to lead our dedicated team of installation technicians in executing complex telecommunications projects. In this role, you will ensure the efficient installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of line systems while adhering to safety standards and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the installation team to ensure timely project completion and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct site assessments and determine installation requirements for both residential and commercial telecommunications systems.
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to technicians on installation best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop and implement installation plans tailored to customer specifications.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate performance metrics, and report on team productivity and quality assurance.
- Resolve any on-site issues and liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of installation activities, equipment usage, and compliance with safety regulations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, wiring, and installation techniques.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in real-time.
- Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations in the telecommunications industry.
Preferred:
- Experience with fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Technical certifications related to telecommunications or project management.
- Background in working with diverse client bases, enhancing customer relations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using installation tools and equipment such as splicing machines, cable testers, and surveying instruments.
- Knowledge of network protocols and telecommunications software.
- Experience with project management software and tools for tracking installation progress.
