Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tool Polishing Supervisor to oversee and enhance our polishing operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of polishing specialists, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our polishing processes while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily polishing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Develop and implement polishing processes, techniques, and best practices to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of polished tools to assess quality and provide feedback for improvement.
- Train and mentor polishing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address any issues related to tool design or polishing methods.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality inspections, and employee performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in tool polishing or a related field, with a proven track record of supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of polishing techniques and tools, including abrasives and polishing compounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot polishing issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision machining or tooling.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies in polishing processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of polishing equipment and tools, including manual and automated systems.
- Experience with quality inspection tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
