Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plating Supervisor to oversee our plating operations, ensuring the highest quality standards in metal finishing processes. You will be responsible for managing a team of plating technicians, optimizing production workflows, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily plating operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of plating technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Monitor and adjust plating processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices where necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of plating workmanship and quality control measures to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any process-related issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, chemical usage, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in plating or metal finishing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of plating processes, chemicals, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to plating operations.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of plating equipment and analytical tools for quality testing.
- Familiarity with chemical handling and safety procedures in a plating environment.
- Ability to utilize data analysis for process optimization and decision-making.
