Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Timber Estimator to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Utilize estimation software and tools to create detailed timber take-offs
- Collaborate with project teams to clarify project scope and requirements
- Maintain organized records of estimates and revisions for future reference
- Support senior estimators in analyzing bid documents and preparing proposals
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in construction management, forestry, or a related field
- Basic understanding of timber products, specifications, and industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimation software
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience in estimating or a related field
- Keen interest in sustainable forestry practices
- Experience with CAD software is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with estimation software (e.g., Timberline, PlanSwift)
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of timber species and grading standards
