Role Overview
As a Junior Construction Job Cost Estimator at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management teams by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Responsibilities

- Review project drawings and specifications to identify scope and requirements for accurate estimating.
- Conduct market research to gather pricing information and establish cost benchmarks for materials and labor.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project timelines and deliverables, ensuring all estimates are aligned with project goals.
- Participate in bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Support the senior estimating team in analyzing bids, evaluating vendor proposals, and making recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, changes, and project costs for future reference and audits.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field, with exposure to job cost estimation processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software.
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with project management software and cost estimating tools.
- Basic understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in formulas and data analysis.
- Experience with construction estimating software such as ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.
