Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary and strategic VP of Theme Park Operations to lead our operational excellence and drive the overall guest experience at our theme parks. This senior leadership position will be responsible for transforming our operational strategy, enhancing visitor satisfaction, and ensuring safety and compliance across all park operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with the company's vision and enhances guest satisfaction.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance across all areas of theme park operations, including attractions, guest services, food and beverage, and retail.
- Establish and uphold safety standards and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Utilize data analytics to assess operational performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.
- Drive guest engagement initiatives and create innovative experiences that align with brand values and guest expectations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance, mentoring and developing operational staff.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define budgetary priorities and resource allocation to meet operational goals.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in theme park operations or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and operational success.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, guest service excellence, and operational best practices in the theme park industry.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a large-scale entertainment or hospitality organization.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing change and driving innovation within operational frameworks.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in operational management tools and methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
- Proficient in data analysis tools to drive insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Strong understanding of technology integrations that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
