Role Overview
As a Junior Test Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality and excellence in our software development lifecycle. You will work closely with development teams to implement testing strategies and methodologies that drive quality assurance and enhance our product offerings. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testing strategies.
- Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality-related aspects.
- Support the automation of testing processes, working alongside senior team members to leverage testing tools and technologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancing testing practices and methodologies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Basic understanding of testing methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with test management tools and bug tracking systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into that process.
- Understanding of performance testing tools and techniques.
