Role Overview
As the Head of Quality Assurance at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will lead our QA strategy, establishing a robust framework that ensures the delivery of high-quality software products. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy that encompasses manual and automated testing across all product lines
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to define quality goals and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Establish and refine QA processes, including test planning, execution, and reporting, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to enhance test coverage and reduce time-to-release
- Analyze defect trends and quality metrics to drive data-driven decisions and improve product quality
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the QA processes and tools
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing QA strategies in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies
- Experience with modern testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to drive quality through metrics
Preferred:
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading QA within cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Background in software development is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools
- Strong knowledge of web and mobile application testing
- Experience with performance and security testing tools
