Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Monitor student progress, collecting data and providing feedback to educators and parents regarding academic and behavioral developments.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school staff to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in special education.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a special education setting.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive learning strategies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with special education software and tools to support student learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational management systems.
- Experience with data collection and analysis to track student progress.
