Role Overview
We are seeking a fully remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is dedicated to providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adults. In this role, you'll leverage teletherapy technology to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver effective interventions that improve communication skills and enhance overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client needs, and evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapy sessions via teletherapy, utilizing engaging and interactive strategies to ensure client participation and progress.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support and resources.
- Stay current with developments in the field by participating in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing speech and language therapy services to diverse populations.
- Strong understanding of teletherapy best practices and technology.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience working in a clinical or educational setting.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and tools.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of speech and language assessment instruments and therapy resources.
