Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional speech and language services. This role involves overseeing clinical practices, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and mentoring staff to enhance their professional development. You will play a crucial role in advancing the quality of care delivered to our clients, shaping therapeutic approaches, and contributing to program development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of speech-language pathologists, providing guidance on best practices and clinical interventions.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of clients' needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in speech-language pathology.
- Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate care strategies.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.
- Engage with clients and their families to provide education and support regarding speech and language disorders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- 5+ years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and current trends in speech-language pathology.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in a clinical leadership role within a healthcare or educational setting.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and therapy software relevant to speech-language pathology.
- Understanding of telehealth technologies and their application in speech therapy.
