Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Assistant Professor of Silviculture to join our esteemed faculty. This role is integral in advancing research and teaching in silviculture, forest management, and sustainable forestry practices. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses in silviculture and related disciplines, fostering student engagement and critical thinking.
- Lead and conduct original research in silviculture, focusing on sustainable forest management practices, restoration ecology, and ecosystem services.
- Supervise graduate students and provide mentorship in research methodologies, data analysis, and academic writing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to secure funding for research projects and contribute to community outreach initiatives.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences to enhance the department's visibility and impact.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- A Ph.D. in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in silviculture and forest management, with a strong publication record.
