Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Screw Machine Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in optimizing production processes and ensuring the highest quality standards in our screw machine operations. This role will involve managing daily activities, collaborating with production staff, and implementing best practices in machining to enhance efficiency and output.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of screw machines, ensuring they run efficiently and safely
- Lead a team of machinists, providing guidance and support to achieve production targets
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machining processes to improve quality and reduce waste
- Monitor production metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance productivity
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members on machining techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the machining area
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in machining operations, with a focus on screw machines
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials
- Experience with quality control processes and standards
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field
- Familiarity with CNC programming and setup
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating screw machines and related equipment
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for machining applications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
