Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented CNC Milling Specialist to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components that meet our high-quality standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to optimizing our manufacturing processes and enhancing product quality.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC milling machines using G-code and CAD/CAM software to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including tool selection, fixture setup, and machine calibration.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC milling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve manufacturing processes and resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities produced, machine settings, and inspection results.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling Specialist or similar role with a strong understanding of CNC machining principles.
- Proficiency in programming CNC milling machines using G-code and CAM software.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Familiarity with CNC machine types, including vertical and horizontal milling machines.
- Experience with tool path optimization and simulation software.
