Role Overview
We are seeking a strategically-minded Right Of Way Manager to lead our efforts in acquiring and managing land rights for our infrastructure projects. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with all regulations and facilitating smooth project execution while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the acquisition of right of way for infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and compliant processes
- Develop and implement strategies for negotiating land agreements with property owners and stakeholders
- Manage the right of way team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure effective project delivery
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to align objectives and resolve issues
- Conduct risk assessments related to land acquisition and develop mitigation strategies
- Maintain detailed documentation of all right of way transactions and agreements
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding land use
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Real Estate, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in right of way acquisition or land use management
- Proven track record of successful negotiations and project management
- Strong understanding of local and federal land use regulations
Preferred:
- Professional certification in Right of Way (e.g., SR/WA)
- Experience working in the infrastructure or utility sectors
- Familiarity with GIS and land management software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in project management tools and techniques
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating land use and environmental impacts
- Experience with contract negotiation and legal documentation
