Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Land Sales to lead our land acquisition initiatives and drive revenue growth through innovative sales strategies. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute comprehensive land sales plans, establish strong relationships with stakeholders, and leverage market insights to identify new opportunities while mentoring and developing a high-performing sales team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for land acquisition that aligns with the company's overall objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building
- Lead negotiations for land purchases, ensuring favorable terms and conditions to maximize company profitability
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and development, to facilitate successful transactions
- Mentor and guide the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to executive leadership, highlighting key metrics and insights
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in land sales or real estate development, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of real estate markets, land acquisition processes, and zoning regulations
- Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in closing complex transactions
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams to achieve high performance
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience in land sales for residential, commercial, or industrial projects
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- Established network of industry contacts and relationships
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
