Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Riding Coach to support our equestrian program at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing riding lessons, clinics, and training sessions for riders of varying skill levels
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to riders, focusing on technique, safety, and confidence-building
- Help coordinate and oversee riding events, competitions, and team practices
- Maintain high standards of horse care and ensure that all safety protocols are followed during training
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to assess rider progress and develop customized training plans
- Foster a supportive and encouraging team culture that promotes personal growth and development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of coaching or teaching experience in equestrian disciplines
- Strong understanding of riding techniques, equine behavior, and safety practices
- Certification in equestrian coaching or a related field is preferred
Preferred:
- Experience working with competitive riders and preparing them for competitions
- Knowledge of different riding disciplines such as dressage, jumping, or western riding
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in equestrian training methodologies and lesson planning
- Experience with equine management software or tools for tracking rider progress
- Basic first aid and emergency response knowledge related to equestrian activities
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with riders, parents, and team members
- Passion for teaching and mentoring, with a focus on building confidence in riders
