Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Riding Coach to lead our equestrian program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for riders of all skill levels, fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship within our community.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute tailored riding lessons and training programs that cater to individual rider needs and goals.
- Oversee the daily operations of the riding program, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Mentor and train assistant coaches and volunteers, promoting a collaborative and professional coaching atmosphere.
- Conduct regular assessments of rider progress and adjust training plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
- Organize and manage riding clinics, competitions, and events that enhance rider skills and community engagement.
- Maintain strong communication with riders, parents, and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and feedback loops.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in competitive riding and coaching at various levels.
- Strong understanding of equine health, safety protocols, and riding techniques.
- Proven track record of developing successful riders and teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in coaching multiple disciplines (e.g., dressage, jumping, eventing).
- Certification from a recognized equestrian coaching program.
- Experience with youth and adult coaching programs.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in various riding disciplines and training methodologies.
- Proficiency in using digital platforms for scheduling, communication, and performance tracking.
- Ability to analyze rider performance data and implement improvements.
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate riders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
