Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Gymnastics to lead our gymnastics program, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, overseeing coaching staff, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive gymnastics training programs that promote skill development and athlete progression
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff, providing guidance on best practices for instruction and athlete development
- Establish performance metrics to assess athlete progress and program effectiveness, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate gymnastics with overall organizational goals and initiatives
- Organize and oversee competitions, events, and workshops, ensuring high standards of execution and athlete participation
- Manage budgets, resources, and facilities to ensure a safe and effective training environment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in gymnastics coaching, with a proven track record of developing successful programs and athletes
- Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, safety standards, and training methodologies
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a gymnastics organization or club
- Certification from a recognized gymnastics governing body
- Experience working with athletes of varying skill levels, from recreational to elite
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of training management software and performance tracking tools
- Knowledge of injury prevention techniques and athlete wellness practices
- Familiarity with competition regulations and requirements
