Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation Therapy to lead and innovate our therapy programs. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation therapy services that enhance patient outcomes and experience. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with clinical best practices and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the rehabilitation therapy departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards
- Develop, implement, and evaluate therapy programs that meet the diverse needs of our patient population and drive positive outcomes
- Monitor and analyze program performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance service delivery
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards, through regular audits and process improvements
- Foster a collaborative environment among clinical staff, promoting professional growth, mentorship, and continuing education opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and referral sources, to promote the value of rehabilitation services
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in rehabilitation therapy settings
- Current active licensure as a therapist in relevant states
- Strong knowledge of therapy practices, regulations, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively
Preferred:
- Experience with telehealth services and digital health technologies
- Proven track record of program development and implementation
- Certification in relevant specialty areas (e.g., NDT, LSVT, etc.)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and therapy management software
- Understanding of data analysis tools and performance tracking methodologies
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
