Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Registrar to join our academic administration team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing student records and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations while supporting the overall mission of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and maintenance of student records, including enrollment, grades, and graduation data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate the registration process for students, including course scheduling, enrollment verification, and registration deadlines
- Support the development and implementation of registration policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Respond to student inquiries regarding registration, academic records, and related processes, providing excellent customer service
- Prepare and analyze reports on student enrollment, retention, and graduation rates for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure accurate course offerings and compliance with accreditation standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an academic or administrative role, preferably within a registrar's office or similar setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems and data management practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with registration software and student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft)
- Familiarity with academic policies, relevant laws, and regulations governing student records
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
