Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Assistant Registrar to join our academic institution. In this pivotal role, you will support the Registrar's office in managing student records, ensuring compliance with academic policies, and facilitating a seamless enrollment process. Your contributions will directly impact the academic success of our students and the operational efficiency of our institution.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and management of student records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies
- Support the enrollment process by processing applications, registrations, and transcript requests
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure timely updates to course schedules and academic calendars
- Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies, procedures, and records
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to enrollment statistics, graduation rates, and other key metrics
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in records management and data integrity
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, business, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in an academic setting or related administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience with academic records management systems
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in student information systems (SIS) and database management
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting software
- Familiarity with online enrollment platforms and digital record-keeping
