Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide leadership and direction for our nursing staff across various facilities. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for establishing a culture of excellence in patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving innovative nursing practices that align with our mission of delivering quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the nursing departments, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety across all facilities
- Develop and implement strategic nursing initiatives that enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with other executives to shape and execute the organization's overall strategic plan
- Act as a mentor and role model for nursing leaders, promoting evidence-based practices and innovative solutions
- Engage with stakeholders to assess community health needs and develop programs that address those needs effectively
- Analyze nursing performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including experience in a senior management role
- Current RN license with a strong background in clinical nursing practice
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve patient care and operational efficiency
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field
- Experience in a fully remote or hybrid healthcare environment
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and telehealth solutions
- Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., NEA-BC, CNML)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology
- Experience with data analytics tools to drive performance improvement initiatives
